Saw that one recently. It is exactly what it looks like - fast cars, explosions, over-the-top violence and a little eye candy tossed in to spice it up. I think there was a plot in there somewhere, too, but who cares? We all need a little mindless entertainment sometimes.

Finished "The Road". Talk about a depressing movie. Damn.

Loved the relationship between the father and son but that cellar scene creeped me the fuck out. Big time.

Just watched She's Out of My League.

    Interesting idea, poorly, poorly executed.

The two have no chemistry together, are rushed into a relationship and there's no real sense that there is an actual attraction.

Shame because I was really looking forward to this one.

It just seemed like this movie was about three rewrites short of a good flick and, all told, there was really only one laugh out loud moment for me in the entire thing.

Oh, and that chick? She's an eight at best.

Exactly. Same goes for every Statham movie. Typically very entertaining. And always some eye candy.

Watched The Road, which was excellent, not the book, but still excellent. Watched Knowing, which was not excellent, but had some decent special effects.

Don't get me started, Schieza! :)

Watched Land of the Lost last night. Didn't hate it .... most comedies, it seems like the first half is funny and the last half tapers off on laughs as they try to resolve the plot. This was just the opposite. I thought the first 45 mins were rather dull, but there were several laugh-out-loud moments toward the end.

Overall a C+, but not as bad as I expected.

Watched a documentary called "Overnight" about the bartender who Miramax signed to a contract to direct "Boondock Saints" which he wrote. One of the best docs I've seen in awhile. Fascinating stuff. I wonder if anyone here has seen it. I'm guessing TigerVols and Alma probably have.

Good looks, Mizzou. It's on Netflix instant, so I might give it a watch tonight.

I think you have to be a bit of a movie geek to appreciate it, but it's really interesting.

Youth in Revolt. Pretty decent. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Funny at times, though Zac Galifinakis really added nothing to the movie. Liked the cartoon transitions.

Also, clutch use of Fatlip's "What's Up Fatlip?" in one scene.
