Primal Fear on HBO SG right now. First time I ever saw Edward Norton, who is dynamite in this film ...

It's interesting, but I really wish I'd never seen it, because it ruined my enjoyment of Boondock Saints, which is one of my favorite "not very good, but there's just something about it that I love" movies. I've probably seen it 100 times. But after watching Overnight and seeing what an absolutely insufferable fuck Duffy is, I feel a little guilty for liking it.

Still haven't watched the Boondock sequel because I can't stand the thought of putting a penny in Duffy's pocket.

Just wondering which do you all think is a better baseball movie "Rookie of the Year" or "Little Big League." Of those two I liked "Little Big League" better.

I kind of feel the same way about Boondock Saints. I like it, but I wouldn't recommend it. Didn't see the sequel either. No interest.

"Winter's Bone." Absolutely amazing. Can see why it won best picture at Sundance and best screenplay. It's stark and scary without the gore.

  6. Whip It ...

Good movie. Almost didn't recognize Daniel Stern. The only I think I didn't like was Jimmy Fallon.
A really good movie. Good effort by Barrymore as far as directing. Juliette Lewis was pretty cute too.
I also like Kristen Wiig in movies. Hate her SNL characters, but she is does a goiod job in films.

  7. Also, Has anyone seen Amelia? Did it go straight to video?

Watched the new Alice in Wonderland (my son picked it out) last night and it was atrocious. I thought it was slow, boring, uninspired. I'll admit I'm not a big Tim Burton fan to begin with, but I thought I might like Alice in Wonderland. Was pretty disappointed and wish we had gotten something else. It was a waste of my one night off.

I saw it a couple of years ago. Loved it. I was never a fan of Boondooks. Most of my friends raved about it. It just looked like a cheap Tarantino ripoff to me. The doc was great 'cuz he was such a pompous ass and then it all crumbled down around him.

  11. Edge of Darkness .. meh. It killed two hours.

Watched "Up in the Air" yesterday. Enjoyed it, but didn't like the ending.
