OK, well I can see where "The Burning" earned the distinction from the British censors as a "video nasty." Also, it contained major roles for Jason Alexander and Holly Hunter. Interesting.

Walk Hard. As AV Club pointed out recently, it deserved more success than it found.

Inception was a pretty amazing film. There's room to do better, but not much. This was a great movie-going experience - right up there with Inglourious Basterds, Dark Knight, and No Country for Old Men.

If you can get your hands on the British final cut, run, don't walk to get it.

And some of the outtakes are beyond sensational.

Chloe. No idea how I missed this when it came out. For the guys, the love scene between Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried is, um, something. What a great take on lies and loneliness in relationships.

Watched Up In The Air this morning. Thoroughly depressing story. Vera Farmiga was worth it.

Forgot ... also watched "Crossing Over." Very good take on the whole immigration debacle. Enlightening especially in light of the new Arizona law. The scene in the convenience store is one of the most compelling I've seen in a long time.

I thought this movie was hilariously awful. Sorta like Crash, but everyone has some over-the-top, batshit crazy thing happening to them.

It had its moments, but can't understand the hysteria. Next spring's
Broadway musical, based on the material, is supposed to have a
good chance of staying around awhile, if the planned casting (Norbert
    Leo Butz) holds up.

I have yet to see it at all. Really not my genre, I guess.

Just finished watching "No Country for Old Men."

    Damn.

My only complaint is that by the end of it, I really wanted to see Bardem felled in a blaze of gunfire. Still, that is one dark friggin' film.

Reefer Madness is on one of the Showtime channels right now. What a trainwreck of 1930s propaganda ...
