    No, it would repulse me.

  2. Why would you torture yourself like this? 2012 is one of the five worst movies I've ever seen. Even the incredible special effects weren't enough to overcome just how awful the script and acting and plot were.

Also, I know I'm in the minority as I enjoy Pulp Fiction but I liked Shawshank and Gump better. And I still do.

Saw "The Crazies" on Netflix. Not bad. Timothy Olyphant does a nice job in the lead. Not an exact copy of a zombie flick; nicely updated for today's world issues.

Saw Man on Fire on cable yesterday and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Good line near the end: "Forgiveness is between them and God. It's my job to arrange the meeting."

  5. Saw Book of Eli ... meh.
Denzel was decent. The actions scenes were pretty good, but too few. And never quite figured out if he was protected or not. The couldn't shot him in the back as he was leaving town, but took a bullet to the stomach?? And lived?

Also, took me a few minutes to place the bad guy enforcer as the dude from "Rome."
Mila Kunis can NOT act and all I hear when she talks is Meg.

Saw "The Burning Plain" with the girl from "Winter's Bone," Jennifer Lawrence. She is gonna be the next Charlize Theron. Speaking of Charlize, she's in "Burning Plain," too, and lots of nude shots of her. Also saw "The Girl Who Played with Fire," and loved it. Cannot wait for the third one. These films are really tight and suspenseful and for journalists, fun to watch the story unfold for the journalist in the film.

Flipping the channels last night before going to bed, and there was "Pride of the Yankees." Just had to watch. Hadn't seen it in years (probably at least 20). Do NY stations still broadcast the hell out of it every spring?

I watched Funny People. One of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. The scenes where the people were doing standup were pretty good, but the entire rest of the movie sucked, wasn't funny or endearing, I didn't care about the characters and generally was a waste of two hours.

Book of Eli > Shutter Island

I actually did not like SI at all.

  10. Are you spying on me?
Those two movies have been sitting on my TV of about week.
Haven't got around to Shutter Island yet.

Saw "Cyrus" this weekend. Not a bad movie. Marissa Tomei is always great.

"Brooklyn's Finest" -- Richard Gere got a blowjob and Ethan Hawke looked like a tattooed weasel. That's all I got. Oh, and Wesley Snipes should have paid his taxes because he can ACT.
