Cauth FTAR the other night and enjoyed it again, though Pheobe Cates is not nearly as buxom as I remembered.

    Also watched:

The original Black Christmas ... kinda scary, but I swear, I laughed more than I cringed. There were some really stupidly funny parts to this flick. "FE ... it's a new exchange around here."

Then watched Boondock Saints, which I had never watched. I think I need to see it again. Pretty tight flick.

Iconic -- not to mention the best thing Sean Penn ever did.

"Redeye" on TV yesterday. Again, had the tv on while working, and less and less work got done. Decent flick, and yet again underscores that Rachel McAdams is hhhhhhhot - scene at the end where she's hiding in a closet and there's a cheerleading outfit in it, had me wishing for the outlandish ("Yeah, there's a killer chasing you, but... put on the cheerleader uniform, Rach. C'mon, you can do it, even if makes no sense for the plot. Please?")

Cillian Murphy was also a great bad guy in it... seemingly sincere good guy until he pulls off his mask, creepy and very adept afterwards.

    Two thumbs up.

Yeah, Redeye is a fine film few people saw. Thumbs-up DVD recommendation.

My sister came by for dinner tonight. She was upset because my niece went away to camp for the first time ever. So we needed a good laugh ... Watched "The Ugly Truth". It was hilarious.

Saw Ugly Truth in the theater. It was alright, for a matinee. Have to give it a decent grade for creative use of a vibrator...

'Hut Tub Time Machine' = very bad
    'Kick-Ass' = mediocre. I still don't get the outrage.

Saw Kick-Ass over the weekend and thought it was outstanding. Thought it definitely lived up to the hype. And it didn't offend me in any way, although I can understand why it would make some cringe.

I dunno, he was pretty damned good in 24 Grams.

Portman would probably be ideal. Hopefully she checks her inhibitions at the door and gets on with it.
