Finished watching Demolition Man today via Netflix Instant Watch. Damn, what a fun movie.

Loved the whole flick but the part that really interested me was Spartan after he just got defrosted and he's in the police station learning all about 2032.

"He doesn't know about the three seashells!"

    Great movie.

HC & I went to see "The Kids are All Right" at the local AMC. Went to the 11:55 a.m. screening so it only costs us $6.00 each. There was one other woman in the theatre so it was like watching it at home

Great perfomances by Julianne Moore and Annette Bening who play a married couple with two teenagers conceived by artificial insemination courtesy of Mark Ruffalo.

    Touching and funny.

"Get Low" was fantastic. Really, go see it if you can. It's just a beautiful movie. And the opportunity to see great actors like Duvall and Spacek and Murray interacting lets you see just exactly how good film can be. It has a great little script and it's an interesting period that doesn't get done much. Don't miss it.

I was reading through the "Favorite movie scenes" threads and it inspired me to watch "Heat" for the first time. (I was never really interested in it before).

Damn good flick. I can see why it's considered a classic. Loved the dynamic between De Niro and Pacino, even if they really did only have one scene together.

    Good stuff.

I liked "The American." Anyone who goes in expecting the thriller depicted in the trailers will feel ripped off, but I got into it. Great Italian scenery.

I think I would have liked it a lot more if the trailers didn't make it look like a Bourne film.

Kind of like the trailers for Funny People, which made it look like The 40 Year Old Virgin 2.0.

Yeah, the trailer thing was the biggest bait-and-switch since The English Patient. But I liked The American better than the Bourne films.

The only way The American was better than the Bourne films was the European actress it had was hotter.

A Perfect Getaway ... not very good and quite predictable.

Saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it. The acting performances are fantastic...and it edges Get Low as my favorite movie of the moment.
