I'm so jacked about "The Town." But I had to work both Friday and Saturday night and was traveling back from my college game site today. I'm locked in for "Mad Men" and "Boardwalk Empire" tonight, so I'm going to have to wait until next week it seems.

But yeah, Affleck seems good as a director, which I find shocking but pleasantly surprising. His brother was top-notch in "Gone Baby Gone" as well.

And it will be interesting to see Hamm on the big screen.

    Me and Orson Welles.

Frequently a tad simple/obvious, but great fun, nonetheless.

Saw "The Town" tonight. Quite good. And yeah, definitely porn for the Bostonians.

Agree. I think Ben Affleck is actually a better writer and director than actor. And I think Casey is the better actor of the two.

Saw a preview before "The Town" for another Affleck joint, "The Company Men", which also has Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Chris Cooper (also in "The Town") and Craig T. Nelson. Tough to go wrong with that group. Coming out in late October.

Saw The Town yesterday. It was much better than I expected it to be.

Is it just me or is Ben Afleck turning into a Bruce Springsteen doppelganger the older he gets?

Right now I'm about to Netflix stream a movie called Thankskilling and live tweet my reactions. Head over to my Twitter timeline if you're curious.

    Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

First-rate journalism/procedural, with two of the best revenge scenes in
the history of modern cinema. Drop your aversion to subtitles, and get with it.

'La Mission' = preening sincerity, actors agressively emoting all over the place, laughably cliche
    'Paradise Found' = just dreck

"City Island" - good little movie. It reminded me of "Moonstruck" a bit - probably because it centered on an outer borough Italian family, but it wasn't as good.

We had that one in the house last week, but it was viewed and returned before I got to see it.

Ugh. The subject holds no interest to me at all, but it is Sorkin, so eventually I'm going to have to see it.

I was completely underwhelmed by this movie.
