    Shocking would be the fate of the woman. A little hint at gay sex...meh.

    Just watched "Lions for Lambs" on CW. Saw it when it first came out, and it really didn't impact me the way it did upon second viewing. Not sure why. Hit me very hard tonight, tho. Suggest y'all give it another look - might have a similar reax.

    Did something of a movie marathon today. Watched Little Miss Sunshine this morning. The family conflict stuff was heartbreaking. Abigail Breslin was, as has been noted, outstanding. And I really enjoyed Alan Arkin's character.

    Watched Into Temptation with Kristin Chenoweth after that. Fairly depressing, but it'll hold your interest.

    Went and saw Salt at the dollar theatre this afternoon. Just needed to see some stuff get blown up. It was OK. Not great, which was surprising because I haven't seen much with Angelina Jolie (or, for that matter, Liev Schreiber) in it that I didn't care for.

    Tonight, I watched Outsourced and was pleasantly surprised. The culture shock theme done right is almost always fun.

    Had insomnia Thursday night and watched:
    'Zombieland' = dumb
    'Last House on the Left' = boring, which is not a could adjective for a 'thriller'

    Watched "Role Models" with Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott all the way through for the first time the other night. I was pleasantly surprised, but maybe it's because I had low expectations. Or maybe it's because I was a KISS fan and D&D nerd for a time in high school (though I never rose/sank to the level of live-action role-playing).

    I'm not saying I wouldn't have if given the opportunity, just that I didn't.

    The Winning Season - Let's see...there's Sam Rockwell as a surly girls basketball coach, Rob Cordury as the principal plus Rooney Mara and Emma Roberts as players. Sounds like a recipe for a good flick, but it's an unmitigated disaster. Some of the worst screen writing involving sports in cinema history.

    One of the funniest movies I've seen in years. Joins my list of films I will stop and watch every time.

    "I'm Still Here," about the Joaquin Phoenix hoax/debacle. Honestly, can I have that hour and a half of my life back?

    Watched The Karate Kid (2010) last night and thoroughly enjoyed it even though the storyline was the exact parallel of the first Ralph Macchio KK. I especially liked that Jackie Chan refrained from the martial arts-as-slapstick-comedy stuff. Jaden Smith is really good in this movie, and he's being set up for a monster acting career. When they were in the tournament, I couldn't help but think of it as the All Valley Championships, Mandarin division ...
