So while I like the work of Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) - word is that he will write and direct the next Bourne movie but the movie won't feature Bourne or Matt Damon.

I get it. Studios want to slap an iconic title on a reworked piece of shit with cheaper actors (Spiderman, Superman) but Bourne?

    Insomnia led me to:

'Roger Corman's Frankenstein Unbound' = stupid, although it made me wonder what ever happened to Bridget Fonda

'9' = I wanted to like it but no

"Role Models" is awesome. Love that flick.

Saw "Get him to the Greek" a few nights ago. Bleh. It was alright, but "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" was a whole lot better. Was kinda disappointed GHTTG wasn't better than it was.

Saw "The Social Network" tonight. Brilliant. I'll see it again. Great casting, not a dull moment and strong pacing. All-around great flick. 8.5/10.

    Secretariat.

    What it could have been.

I'm sure Bill Nack will have nightmares, for the rest of his life. But Disney money's Disney money.

    Boondock Saints.

Late to the party, I know, but I made it.

The girls basketball team I help coach watched "Drop Dead Gorgeous" at a recent team sleepover.

Based on how hilarious they said it was, I gave it a shot... and laughed my ass off.

The, um, mentally challenged brother tossing off almost anywhere was hilarious.

Total camp and inane, yes, but funny, nonetheless.

    I saw "Red"

It wasn't bad, but I was disappointed. With that cast, I expected much, much more.

    Up

The first 30 minutes were amazing, but the last 60 minutes of the movie just could not keep up.

Watched "Jackass in 3D" yesterday, mainly because my buddy wanted to see it. It was OK. Some genuinely hilarious moments, but a lot of just gross-out stuff. And the 3D was a total waste, unless you're thrilled by stuff like a hundred dildos flying directly toward you.

Yep . . . consensus is that after the first hour, it wholly loses its way.

The first 25 minutes is so great, I forgave any minor trespasses, thereafter.

    Very underrated and underappreciated film.
