Paranormal Activity 2. I really liked the first one, the second one was ..., eh, ok.

'Martyrs,' and I really wish I had not seen this movie.
I am not squeamish or offended by movies, but I wish I had not seen this movie.
I felt worse after seeing this movie than after seeing 'Audition,' and that's saying something.

    Just watched this tonight.

Completely blown away. Two hours and nine minutes that felt like it went by in an hour.

Incredible acting, great twists. Perfect score.

    Subtitled, yes. But incredible.

Just grabbed Toy Story 3 and Iron Man 2. Big fan of the Toy Story series and I loved Iron Man. Wasn't all that pleased with Iron Man 2, but this is coming from a pretty big Iron Man nerd. But needless to say, enjoyed it enough to rent it.

Got home from the movies last night, kicked off my running shoes, one of which landed on its side, arch down. Sat on the couch reading, no iPod, no TV. Dead quiet. About two hours later, shoe falls over onto its sole without rocking or making a sound. This is not what you want to see after ... Paranormal 2.

That said, I agree with Wendell Gee. First Paranormal was a fun prank, like a Log Flume ride with a long, meticulous buildup, then a quick plummet; second one, you know the drill by now, and the addition of plot revelations linked to the first one weren't enough to compensate for that.

P.S. As an experiement, I set up the shoe the same way this morning and knocked it over.

Saw "Grownups" twice -- without sound -- going to and from Maui. Lots of people were laughing at the parts that they must have already seen dozens of times on the TV commercials.
Hey, ByDesign, what's up with Delta showing the same movie both ways one week apart in the same month? (And I won't even get into the horseshit attitudes of the stews).

    Iron Man 2 and MacGruber

IM2 was OK.Sam L was fantastic, and I am geeked for Captain America.

MacGruber was less than OK, but thanks Red Box for making these cheap.

I do want to see more of Wiig's skin. Am I the only one that finds her just oddly hot?

Watched this "on demand" last night. Holy shit. Had read a lot about it, didn't get to see it in theater. Definitely worth the $5.99.
The woman who played the town hooker in "My Name is Earl" has a pivotal role, and a scene I don't think I'm ever going to quite forget.
Didn't think it was slow at all. I kind of approached it on its own terms, not expecting an action flick. So many perfect little scenes, like the one with the army recruiter.

The Mrs. and I took the little one to see Megamind today. Not bad. Kept the little one entertained. A few little nuggets for fans of comic books/superhero movies. Some funny parts and some clever moments, but nothing special.

"The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest." Really great stuff. This one is more of a legal thriller than an action film but it is just as suspenseful. Fantastic job by all the lead actors and the directing is pitch-perfect.

I watched She's Out of My League the other night.

    Very meh.

Couple of decent jokes, but the premise was just really dumb. Thankfully it wasn't too long.

Deciding between Jackass 3D in 2D and Due Date. Any help from the masses would be appreciated.
