Got this from the Red Box, and it was stunning.

You were constantly on edge because of the volatile nature of the family members, and if you keep asking yourself why a character reacted the way they did, you will really uncover the depth of what is going on here.

I thought about this movie all the way to work this morning.

Watched "Taken" after I'd DVR'd it on HBO the other day. It was enjoyable for it is, which is about 90 minutes of Liam Neeson driving the wrong way on Paris streets and punching people in the throat.

I think we are going to be seeing the actress who played in the lead role for a long, long time.

I watched the documentary about how they found long lost footage from Metropolis on TCM last night, but I didn't get to WATCH the restored, original cut of Metropolis, which was shown before the doc, because my DirecTV guide is retarded and didn't indicate that it was a different version.

Oh well. I can always watch this.

How's this for a positive movie review - I saw something last night and, 12 hours or so later, can't even remember what it was called. It's that chick flick with the girl from Greys Anatomy, where her friends die and she and this other guy, as godparents who hate each other, have to care for the baby. Of course they end up falling in love.

It was crap. A few chuckles, but overall, crap. The girl enjoyed it though, for what that's worth.

Agreed. Not sure where she takes it from here, though. Ellen Page can basically play gradually aging versions of the "Juno" character for the next 10 years ... this role was kind of singular.

IMDB has her as a major role in an upcoming X-Man flick.

I've never thought of her as that talented before, but yeah, she is attractive.

The Book of Eli -- Yes, apocalypse and post-societal films are disproportionately produced (although not as disproportionately as bank-robbing/heist movies), but I thought that was a solid three stars. Denzel is always solid, and I think Mila Kunis is not only beautiful but is a respectable talent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is into the genre.

Walking Vengeance (Spanish-language title Solo Quiero Caminar) -- stars the Latino Leonardo DiCaprio, Diego Luna. Seriously, he spends the whole movie looking and acting as if he were Leo. It's funny. The movie is a very mediocre Spanish-language "thriller" which is tangentially about female empowerment. But, just because you get stabbed in the hip, or the stomach, or some other non-lethal place, does not mean you need to take 12 hours to bleed to death in public. Even in Mexico, there are hospitals.

Alice in Wonderland -- This wasn't as terrible as I'd imagined it to be, although the Alice looks like Michael Cera. Is that mean? Sorry.

Law-Abiding Citizen -- This was way better than I anticipated, although I think the wrong person dies in the end. I liked the emotional release that accompanied such tremendous, absolute vengeance, but I agree that once the collateral damage starts to pile up, the morality becomes troublesome.

I feel your pain. Asleep at the switch, and didn't even know this documentary was on, either. How was it?
