Saw "Get him to the Greek" today. I enjoyed it. Made me laugh out loud several times, especially the fight scene in Las Vegas. In the middle of the that fight P Diddy's character yells "Now this is what music producting is all about!"

I know I'm about a month early on this one, but last night I just wanted to pop "The Bells of St. Mary's" in the ole DVD player. Love it. Love the original Father O'Malley movie, "Going My Way" much more, but both movies are just nice, endearingly innocent flicks.

Saw "Skyline" last night, and it was terrible. The effects were standard if you ask me, and there was no plot, no character development, and just flat-out stupid. I encourage people to not waste their money the way I did.

    WOOHOOO!

Finally, on what can only be the 14th or 15th attempt (I fell asleep on the previous tries), I finally watched "Burn After Reading" all the way through. Have to admit, though, that my joy of having finally completed the task is muted by the fact that the flick is a steaming pile of shit.

Due Date is markedly-better than The Hangover.

Don't get too excited . . . I rated The Hangover far lower than most did, but the comparison holds.

One of the major things we've disagreed on, Ben. Hangover remains one of my five most enjoyable films ever. It's a must-watch every time I find out it's on. Still laugh until I cry.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Very fun. Liked it a lot. Edgar Wright is the man.

Social Network. Interesting, but a bit of a slog. Timberlake impressed me again.

How to Train Your Dragon. Decent for a cartoon.

Saw Megamind this morning. Not bad. I've always been a fan of romantic comedies. A 3D cartoon version added something extra.

Understood. There were, like, three set-pieces in The Hangover which cracked a rib or two.
Then there was the remaining hour and a half, or so.

    Different strokes.

Saw The Girl Who Played with Fire last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. If I could get Hornet's Nest on Netflix instant watch, I'd probably watch that tonight. Maybe I'll watch that one through Amazon just so I don't have to wait.

Rented Old Guys on iTunes. Terrible. Had basically no expectations heading in and it didn't even meet those. barley cracked a smile let alone a chuckle. Was hoping for just one solid memorable moment from the movie and yet there was none.

Complete opposite from Get him to the Greek. Again zero expectations, but found it quite funny and a good way to kill an evening. Award worthy? hell no. Funniest film of the year? far from it, but a solid comedy none the less.

Edit: I am a retard sometimes, I meant Grown ups, not Old Guys. But my feelings toward the flick remain.

The Social Network - Just a repulsive cast of characters, but one that led to a good story. Timberlake was good, but was the Napster guy really that suave and "cool" in real life? He always seem like a dork to me.
