This movie has really pissed off a lot of people in the movie industry: Seems the producers of (the highly anticipated) Battle of Los Angeles hired an outside firm to create a lot of special effects for their movie. That firm then used the techniques created for BofLA to craft their own movie, Skyline, which is a cheapo knock-off. The producers of BofLA have sued, but word is they don't have much to stand on. Instead, they got to see their "rival" movie tank a few months before theirs debuts next spring.

Disagree. That movie was awful. I didn't see Jonah Hex, but Robin Hood was the worst movie I've seen in a very long time.

    The Expendables.

Easily the worst movie I've seen this year. Shitty, shitty, shitty.

It was good enough for me not to turn it off. I know that is a low bar, but the battle scenes were OK.

The further from it I get, the more I agree. I gave it a C+ when I left the theater, but now it's more like a D. I really don't like it; the movie lacked heart.

Between it and the equally overrated Get Him to the Greek, it's clear the buddy-road-trip movie idea needs to be shelved for a while.

Finally saw "Knocked Up" on DVD. It was OK.

Some of the jokes ... like the raid on the fantasy baseball draft ... were pretty funny. But the ending felt very contrived/tacked on to appease marketing people or consultants.

Finally saw 'Winter's Bone.' Good movie.
Also saw, 'Robin Hood' = dreadful
    'I'm Still Here' = awful
'The Kids Are Alright' = atrocious

"Splice." Just freaky. Not scary, just freaky.

Caught the last third of Dead Poets on HBO. Get all weepy eyed when Todd stands on the desk as Keating is leaving and his classmates follow suit. I think it's my favorite ending ever. I was just telling my buddy that Robin Williams has been in four good movies. Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting and World's Greatest Dad. He mentioned One Hour Photo. Am I missing one?
