    Finally saw Due Date.

Didn't expect it to be better than The Hangover, but I didn't expect the gap between the two to be as great as it is. Wish now I had just waited for it to the the dollar theater.

I really disliked Inception, too. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but I found it boring, convoluted and cold. I didn't care about any of the characters. I know the reviews have been great, but it just wasn't my thing. I didn't like The Social Network, either, so perhaps I'm just having a bad movie year.

The more I think about Inception the more I think I liked the concept more than the movie itself.

I mean, don't get me wrong, it was a cool movie but I don't think the actual plot (or lack thereof) matched the awesomeness of the idea.

Kind of like the Matrix sequels.

    Tron: Legacy.

First of all, I'll put it out there - I'm a dork when it comes to computers and video game systems/etc. I enjoyed the original Tron and was surprised with the sequel. The soundtrack was incredible and Olivia Wilde is unbelievable gorgeous. Action was great as was Bridges. I will say, I was hoping for a bit more towards the end, but it didn't break the movie for me.

I might have been the only one in the cinema who was appreciative of the Easter eggs.

Saw Inception and Salt this week.

I enjoyed Inception, but I really wasn't blown away by how "mindbending" it supposedly was. I kept hearing how you had to watch it two or three times to really understand it. The ending left a question out there, but if you choose to answer it one way, the entire plot was very straightforward. If you answer it the other way, I guess it could be a twist, but not a particularly unique one. Good flick, though, very well done.

Salt was enjoyable, if not predictable. Not the best action movie I've ever seen, but not bad. And Noyce does apparently have a unique talent for making Angelina Jolie look like shit.

Saw the Social Network last night.

Great film. I loved the music, Reznor did a great job. The script was all Aaron Sorkin, the rapid-fire dialogue and the subtle humor are his trademark.

Timberlake really made you hate his character. He is a very talented actor.

I really thought this was the most overrated movie since "Million Dollar Baby."

Not a movie, but a friend turned me on to "Skins" on BBC, a series that MTV is about to remake and surely will fuck up beyond recognition.

The BBC series is fan-fucking-tastic. Gripping shit. It's on Netflix instant.

    The Other Guys.

Very low expectations and I came away impressed and entertained.

Great cameos by Jeter, Brooke Shields and TLC (sorta). Man, I miss Michael Keaton in comedies!

Christmas Story (yeah, I know). Think I caught a mistake today, my 50th or so viewing. After Ralphie gets busted for saying "fudge," his mom asks him where he heard it. He blurts out Schwartz. Mom gets on the phone with presumably Schwartz's mother, who goes apeshit and starts wailing on her son. But it sounds like it's Flick getting a beating and it's Flick the next day at school who shows up with a black eye.
