You're probably right. The one other thing that intrigues me is that apparently the guy who made this movie is the same guy who made The Wrestler, which I thought was outstanding.

Chances are, we'll see both eventually anyway.

I would see the Black Swan if Micky Rourke had the lead.

That was by far his most toned down movie. This is more ramped up like his other work and definitely has many squeamish parts.

    Apparently?

Anyway...saw both last night. True Grit wasn't what I expected, but I still loved it. Jeff Bridges was unbelievable. Just a great comedic performance. Not as badass as I expected, but oh well.

Black Swan was.....weird. Not my typical kind of movie (good call, Dre), but I didn't hate it, either. Portman's performance was pretty unreal. I know nothing about awards, but I can't imagine her not getting an Oscar nomination for that.

The masturbation scenes would definitely have beeen more gripping.

Took the kids to see Yogi Bear.

The kids loved it and that's all that mattered. Aykroyd was pretty bad as Yogi. I thought it sounded more like one of his SNL characters than Yogi.

Timberlake nailed the Boo Boo voice. Perfect.

Just left jackass 3d at the dollar theater. 3d movies are $3.50 a ticket. Isn't often you see gay porn at a regular theater

Rewatched The Town this week while, amusingly enough, being stuck in Boston by the blizzard. Of course, if you're going to be stuck somewhere by a blizzard, The Lenox Hotel, with a fireplace room and bellboy to make the fire at the ready, is not a bad way to go. Loved The Town again, so much. Really hope it doesn't get snubbed by Oscar. This afternoon, watched, "How to Rob A Bank." Interesting. Until the end. What is about films anymore, no good endings.

Saw The King's Speech this morning. Great performances by Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, but I liked The Social Network better and I believe TSN will win Best Picture when all is said and done.

Saw "True Grit" this afternoon. GREAT movie (and I'm not a big fan of Westerns). Once again, the Coens nail a shift of genre beautifully.
