I haven't seen '127 Hours' yet, and I have no interest in seeing 'Toy Story 3.'
I've seen the others, and I'd have a hard time choosing between 'True Grit,' 'The Fighter' and 'The King's Speech.'
'The Social Network' is not in that class.
'Winter's Bone' was excellent, but it's not mainstream enough to win.
'Black Swan' was weird, interesting and ambitious, but it fell a little short for me.
'The Kids Are All Right' was pablum. I hated it.

"Love and Other Drugs," with lots of nude Anne Hathaway. If you like that sort of thing.

That is the equivalent of "a friend told me" on the porn sites thread.

Well it does nothing for me but I believe in public service.

    "Inception"

Enjoyable, especially on the new TV. Having seeing the mixed reviews on this thread, I wasn't sure how much I'd like it. But it was pretty well done.

I watched that Joe Strummer thing a while ago. It's very good. Last night, watched "The Tourist" with Angelina and Johnny Depp. Much better than I thought it would be and lots of good Venice and Paris porn shots.

The Strummer doc was pretty good. The material was certainly interesting.
Some of the dictorial conceits I could've done without.

    The campfires?

    I thought everything was pitch-perfect.

Wish there was more on him crying when Armed Forces Radio played Rock the Casbah to open the Desert Storm campaign.

Yes, the campfires. I found them an intrusion by the director.

Maybe it should have been let alone. That was his vision of peace at the center, as the Quakers call it. A perfect contentedness where you sit around a fire sharing all sorts of things. IIRC that was one of his last illustrations a few days before he died.

Saw Green Hornet with my boys last weekend. Kato is cool, as is the Hornet-mobile, but Rogen is so obnoxious and Cameron Diaz, really? With Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johannson, and who else out there, you pick her?
