The Other Guys ... meh, not great. It got boring after a while, and Mark Wahlberg was his usual douche self.

The Other Guys won't be around to talk to your kids. They won't understand when you're down, the way that I did.

Oops, for some reason, the Little River Band temporarily occupied my brain.

Saw Winter's Bone -- loved it. Even though it gets off to a slow start action-wise, somehow it just holds your attention tight the entire way through, and there are some great payoff scenes that make up for the waiting. I just found the characters to be very compelling. Great job by the casting directors! And the filming location and time of year really helped make the movie.

Finally saw 'The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.'
I found it the least of the three.
I don't understand some of the choices. Why make Berger a coward? Is that supposed to make Blomquist more heroic?
As said previously, however, that girl is Lisbeth Salander. I can't imagine anyone else as the character.

The American. Dreadful. Clooney acting like he's got a stick up his a** the whole flick. Clara was nice but the hit girl looked better in her sweater dress at the river; was hoping she was going to shed the dress. No such luck.

Hmmm... I thought the film was pretty enjoyable except for the rather transparent plot. I agree on the hit girl. She was much hotter.

Yeah, I thought the process of simplifying the story for the movies really came unwound in the last movie. With a couple of simple gestures in the second and third movies, they could have given a lot more depth to the Blomqvist/Salander relationship. As good as i thought the firts movie was, I'm not looking forward to the Americanized reboot.

Agree on the dreadfulness. Just a dull film.

Saw Lars and the Real Girl and The Inside Man over the weekend. Liked Lars, although the whole town accepting the delusion got to be a bit much by the end. Really liked The Inside Man. Can't go wrong with Denzel and Owen, and it's usually a good thing when I see Brian Grazer's name in the opening credits.

I just didn't understand some choices for the adaptation. It was agreat chacen to pare down a lot of the extraneous material and focus on the heart of the story.
But some changes seemed so unnecessary. Making Berger decide to backdown on publishing was completely unnecessary. It didn't enhance the story. She has been a virtual nonentity in the movies and became unnecessarily weak there.

'Inside Man' left me flat, but I loved 'Lars and the Real Girl.'

If you liked Inside Man, I highly recommend Law Abiding Citizen. Fun flick.
