Just saw the trailer for "Hanna." Don't have any opinion on the movie, other than that I have no interest in seeing it.

However, I did find it mildly disconcerting that the trailer starts off with a 16-year-old girl (Saoirse Ronan, the same girl that was in "The Lovely Bones") saying "Come inside me."

    Is anybody really that clueless?

I watched two the other night on Netflix instant. I hadn't seen Lolita, but it's not available on instant, so netflix suggested "The Lover." A 15-year-old girl enters into a sordid love affair with a 32-year-old Chinese man in Saigon. Very gritty. The acting wasn't great, but it was an enjoyable movie, and god knows I identified with the final 15 minutes of introspection.

Then I finally got around to seeing "An Education." God, I loved it. I expected to like it, but I absolutely loved it. Never been a big Sarsgaard fan, but I thought both he and Carey Mulligan were freaking fantastic.

Yeah, I liked "An Education" as well. I thought the idea of the girl's parents letting do what she did a little far-fetched, but it's apparently a true story.

Saw Hall Pass last night. I expected to hate it, but was pleasantly surprised.

Cherry 2000. No clue why. I wanted to stop watching, but I couldn't.

Watched "Faster" tonight. God, what a fun movie.

Completely devoid of logic, completely full of plot holes and had an ending you could see coming from 1,000 miles away but damn if I didn't enjoy the hell out of that flick.

Sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants and what my heart wanted tonight was some mindless action.

Saw The Assassination of a High School President recently. All I have to say is Mischa Barton.

Funny; I watched "The Lover" again recently ... and it's also referenced, briefly, in a theater scene in "The Rainmaker," which I also watched the other night.

Re-watched "Roxanne," with Steve Martin. It was released in 1987 and has aged a little poorly, but it's still a very sturdy conceit, a clever updating of Cyrano.

I liked 'the Wrestler' and 'Black Swan.' I have actively disliked the other Aronofsky movies I have seen: 'Pi,' 'The Fountain' and 'Requiem for a Dream.'

I haven't seen "Pi" or "The Fountain," but I very much disliked "Requiem" and didn't really like "Black Swan" much. Loved "The Wrestler."

God, I'm so glad to read this. All this time I thought I was the only person on earth who despised Requiem. But I so did.

I did love The Wrestler and hated Black Swan with a passion.
