I'm watching Paper Clips now, a documentary about the Whitwell, Tenn., middle school that did a Holocaust project to teach their insulated students about the world.

Since most residents of "whi-wul" don't make it past 8th grade, I hope those kids learned something.

IJAG, not sure if they're available on your Netflix deal, but here's two documentary suggestions:

    "Mardi Gras: Made in China"
"Living Dolls: The Making of a Child Beauty Queen"

Mardi Gras is pretty sobering; Living Dolls is really creepy. I thought they were both well-made and addressed important topics.

Thanks, holy bull. A friend of mine recommended The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia, which I'll also add to the list. :)

IJAG, the Wonderful Whites movie is hilarious and sad and amazing, all at the same time.

We went to see "Win Win" yesterday. Really cute, well-acted uplifting movie. That teen actor will definitely go places.

I'm still pissed no one's used "Shaka Can" (that I've seen) as a headline.

For those with kids in the 9- to 12-year-old range (I've got two):

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Roderick Rules." Surprisingly good movie. Lots of laughs, almost no sappiness.

  11. That's one of like four documentaries about Jessco and the Whites. I think there were two that came out about the same time last year.

I refuse to watch any of them.

This is probably the best description of that movie. I can't top it. I have no idea how I feel about it after finishing it like 5 minutes ago.
