Stroker Ace is not only the best Burt Reynolds movie ever made, not only the best Jim Nabors movie ever made, not only the greatest movie featuring Parker Stevenson as a NASCAR driver ever made, not only the most fantastic acting job in the great catalog of Loni Anderson performances, not only the most outstanding movie featuring a random cameo by both Elvira Mistress Of The Dark and David Hobbs, but its the greatest movie I am watching at this very minute.

And its better than Days Of Thunder. And its Talladega Nights without the irony. Will Ferrell, et al, should have just done a scene-for-scene remake of this. It actually would have been funny.

We took the kids to see "Hop" yesterday.

I know it got horrible reviews, but every kid in that theater loved it. I thought it did a good job being exactly what it was supposed to be.

IJAG, if you're looking for a romcom, punch up "Timer". It was a fun movie you may enjoy.

Watched The Kids Are All Right last night. Enjoyed it. Not sure it's a comedy, as it has been labeled. Julianne Moore was excellent, as was the girl who played the daughter.

Saw The Town the other night finally. Solid movie. I kept interrupting with random expletives in that awful Boston accent. Pretty sure I'm not allowed to watch another movie based in Boston with the wife.

    FACKIN A!

Living Dolls isn't even on Netflix (it was apparently a TV movie, according to IMDB) and Mardi Gras isn't available for streaming.

    Schiez: Starting TiMER now. Thanks!

One thing I recall about that movie is that I had to listen to/read Dana Stevens from Slate.com say that Mark Ruffalo spent the movie "Ruffalo-ing around" in three different places: Her review; The Slate Culture Gabfest; The Slate Spoiler Podcast.

She clearly thought it was the most clever turn of phrase she had ever come up with.

Dammit, scheiz, I hate it when movies don't end how I want them to end.

What did you think overall though? I liked it. I mean, I could see the "twist" coming a mile away from the moment she stood him up at the bar but, overall, I thought it was a solid flick.
