    Embarrassingly bad. Almost offensive.

    "As Good As It Gets"

Receptionist: How do you write women so well?
Melvin Udall: I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability.

Saw "Hall Pass" last weekend. It was eh. Dragged toward the end. I thought it was a decent concept, poorly executed.

Wasteland. One of the Academy Award-nominated documentaries about a man who makes art by going to a giant trash dump in Sao Paulo.

Delivered by the beautiful Julie Benz, of 'Dexter' fame.

We watched the American version of 'Let the Right One In.'
It came up very short in comparison to the original.
I will say I thought the girl in the American version was pretty good. I've seen her before and liked her.

We watched Sex in the City 2 last night - hey, it's Mother's Day weekend. Through 45 minutes, I thought, "Well, this isn't exactly terrible..." Then they went to the Middle East and the movie indeed reached terrible proportions.

Why does the movie industry continually have 2-hour-plus romantic comedies? If it's not a serious movie, you get 1:45. That's it. Can't wrap it up in time? Then your little comedy has flaws. Fix them and get back to us.

Tonight's viewing should be much more enjoyable: The King's Speech.
