Back to that "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" trailer. Two things: that's not a pirated copy. That's the actual Sony trailer using a cool marketing gimmick. Second realization - breasts are shown at the :34 second mark. Never seen that before in a wide-release preview. Huh.

Pretty sure it's a red-band trailer - hopefully I didn't state the obvious here. Was it shown in theaters or is just a 'leaked cam' version by Sony for marketing purposes?

I actually have no idea what a red-band trailer is...I think it's a "leaked cam" version considering Sony hasn't pulled it from YouTube or anywhere else.

Green-Bands are we see in theaters for previews. Red-Bands are on the internet. Basically red-bands have swearing, some nudity, and stuff you wouldn't in a normal (green-band) trailer.

Watched "Blood Simple" last night. I'm sorry I just can't take the Coen brothers and this one is stupider than most.

Ahh, this explains everything. Thank you. I would like to delete my previous two posts so I appear less stupid, but that would still leave me with 2,107 posts to delete. I hope my math is right.

Wow... I think most would consider that to be one of their best films.

Just got back from seeing Hangover Part II. Yes, it's the same damn movie just set in Thailand. Yes, it's a blatant cash grab by the studio. And yes, it's still a very funny movie and a good way to spend an hour and 40 minutes.

    Some thoughts (possible spoilers):

I spent the whole scene with the tattoo artist thinking to myself "That doesn't look like Liam Neeson; they must have put a ton of makeup on him." Then I got back, clicked in IMDB and saw that they actually recast Nick Cassavettes in the part.

Hate to admit it, but I thought that Thai dancer looked pretty good before I saw the "bonus."

Favorite line of the movie, from Alan after the dancers' revelation: "What is this, a magic show?"

That Teddy kid sure seemed nonchalant about losing one of his fingers.

The first Hangover definitely had the cooler father-in-law-to-be.

I think you'll enjoy the movies fine without having read the books. But they're really good books.

Oh, last movie ... I went with the recently graduated little novelist to see Limitless at the dollar theatre. Fairly enjoyable, though honestly I was expecting more. Bit at the beginning that those of us on here would take as something of an inside joke -- "How does anyone whose not a drug addict or homeless look like this? I'm a writer."

Hot Tub Time Machine - man that was brilliant. Having Cusack (and others) involved made it all the better.

Almost made me want to re-watch Hot Dog: The Movie again. All it was missing was the kid on the bike looking for his $2 dollars.
