That would be "Better Off Dead."

Took my kid to see Kung Fu Panda 2. I think he was bored, I think probably too much story for him. I thought it was OK, nothing special. My wife and I also watched the first season of the Walking Dead, which was highly enjoyable.

Something Borrowed and it should have been renamed Something Boring....

even though it's a pure chick flick, it was terrible.

Oh, does seeing Roadhouse again for the umpteenth time count?

Cedar Rapids - Enjoyable, but not belly-laugh funny. Nice to see a film approach recreational drug use without moral judgments.

I knew that. Another classic of the genre.

I know. My fiance says everyone says it's a cult classic. I just keep trying their movies and just don't like them. Maybe it's a male-female thing but I find them either stilted or inane.

Drive Angry may not be the worst movie ever made, but it's in the conversation.

Missiles of October for my foreign policy course. Before that, I watched about 10 minutes of Epic Movie before turning it off.

Followed the board's recommendation and watched "Last Night" via Netflix today. I had never heard of this before so thanks for the heads up.

Solid flick, interesting concept. Plot wise it could have used a little more. For some reason, most of the characters were useless to me and there wasn't much in terms of action but the sense of impending doom was quite awesome and that last scene? Man. Goosebumps.

Kind of bummed no one bothered to mention what it was that was causing the world to end but I guess that's kind of the point.

Watched "The Tillman Story" last night.

Very compelling subject matter for me because I covered Tillman when he was with the Cardinals. Really interesting to see how some of the soldiers on the scene continue to deny anything nefarious happened, while Bryan O'Neal, who was with Tillman when he was shot, came clean and paid the price by losing his active duty. Film does not paint a flattering picture of Donald Rumsfeld, but that would be hard to do, since he's such a fucking asshat anyway. I thought it was really well done.

Don't ask me why, but Nic Cage makes horrible movies watchable. He doesn't make them any less horrible, but he makes them watchable.
