Not a movie, but the wife and I started watching Weeds the other night. Through season 1 already. Love it. Can't wait till the lead chick gets naked, that's for sure.

If you're only on Season 1, I think you have a ways to go. But she does... A lot...

    Ebert not loving Hangover II.

You don't have to be hard to please with this kind of fare. It was a poorly-made and poorly-executed movie.

The first three seasons are really good television. I haven't enjoyed the last three nearly as much. And yes, Mary Louis Parker is quite fetching.

It was a lazy effort that has been rewarded with financial success, which means Part III will be an equally lazy effort.

We were in a theater with a lot of kids, and some of the laugh lines didn't even get them. The sight gags were another story.

Blue Valentine; very well performed movie, personally hard to stomach because not a feel good movie. Gosling and Williams are great.

Pirates of the Caribbean #5 or whatever, with the kids; boy talk about godawful. Utter stupidity.

That was Ebert's assessment. Mine was that the producers named it Drive Angry because they knew that's exactly what anyone who paid $10 to see it would be doing when they left the theater.

I suppose if I had watched it with a friend while drunk we would have enjoyed it's cheesiness. But I was alone and reasonably sober, so, um, yeah.

Just got in from the new XMen show.
I thought it was good...a little slow and too much origin stuff overall (I would think if they wanted to do 3 movies, they would add as they went)...especially with one key member of the good guys (didn't think they would get to that point)
    The cameos were funny though!
One thing for future moviegoers...no extra scene after the credits. Lights up mean it's time to go home!

I, too, hit the midnight show. Enjoyed the hell out of it. Yeah, some of the origin/getting to know your powers stuff was a bit much if you're familiar with the comics (or even the earlier movies), but it's an origins movie so I can let it slide. Haven't seen all of The Last Stand or any of the Wolverine movie, but from what I've heard I'm not missing much from either. So, based on that, this was definitely my favorite of the series.

'Greenberg' - I wanted to like it, but I didn't. The female lead was good. The Greenberg character was too unlikeable.
'Get Him to the Greek' - A truly awful movie, just terrible.
