I watched it again last night, Kick-Ass.

I thought the trailers were pretty damn good, IMO. And you know this now, but Cage did a pretty good job of playing his character. Well, I thought he did a good job. Pretty strong cast, overall.

The trailers made it seem really, really, really stupid. When I saw them I thought "OK, so a bunch of kids want to be superheroes? Screw that man, I don't want to see some kids flick".

    Glad I did.

And, yes, I realized I was wrong about this being a kids flick pretty much from the first time Hit Girl came on screen.

And the fact it was rated 'R'. The comic book is pretty darn good as well - different backstories but overall good. Hit-Girl was toned down in the movie if you can believe that. haha

Marked Clerks off the bucket list last night. It was between that and Pulp Fiction, which I really didn't have time for. I may try to work it in this weekend.

At least I can now say I've seen Clerks. Wouldn't say it was great, but at least now I get the jokes about it.

Super 8. Absolutely loved it, especially the first half of the film.

Has a Wonder Years/Stand by Me feel to it.

Terrific story makes for a solid foundation to a good flick.

IJAG: Loved that movie. Thought she stole the show, too.

I also saw Super 8 the other day and loved it. Abrams makes damn good movies.

Watched a version of "Children of Men" last night on USA with the spicy bits blanked out.

Still worth it for the beginning, the perfect craft of that first scene (no cuts!) and the inside-the-car-under-attack 360-degree scene (no cuts!!).

And I picked up a detail I had forgotten, the sight of the giant Pink Floyd pig balloon outside the gallery/fortress.

Redboxed "Battle: Los Angeles" last night. Pleasantly surprised. Aside from some questionable dialogue (toned down, I suspect, to retain the PG-13 rating), not a bad flick.

Watched "just go with it". A few chuckles and the girl(s) are hoooooooottttt. But the ending kinda sucked.

Then it was "true grit". Good flick but meh overall. Didn't retain my interest.

    Sunshine Cleaning, which I adored.

The New Twenty, movie from 2009 about a group of friends all in their late 20s, kind of inspecting their lives. It's not nearly as boring as it sounds. Really liked it a lot.

Watched In Bruges last night for like 10th time and I still love it. So many funny lines throughout.

Tonight I'm going to watch Hamlet 2, which I also love.
