In a Ryan Gosling jag. I rewatched "Fracture" with the fiance, who had never seen it. I just love that last scene between him and Hopkins. Could watch it over and over.

Watched the HBO documentary "Hot Coffee" last night. Takes its name from the much-lampooned mid-90s McDonald's "coffee burn" lawsuit and uses that as the jumping-off point for the controversy over "tort reform," examining various cases including Jamie Leigh Jones' lawsuit against KBR after she was (allegedly) gang-raped by co-workers in Iraq.

Good think-piece. Check it out if you get a chance.

    "Bad Teacher" this afternoon.

    Meh.

Couple of funny lines, but not very memorable. Probably would watch it if someone else rented it.

  4. Watched "How Do You Know" on DVD Sunday ...
Cutie Reese Witherspoon is cute... But I hate Nicholson and Owen Wilson.

It was worth a rental, but nothing memorable.

So the Professor X character in the new X-Men movie has British accent because he's a wealthy New Yorker in the 1960s?
    That doesn't make any sense.
It has to be an attempt to provide continuity with Stewart's accent from the other movies.

That should have been the least of Vaughn worries. Besides that, I enjoyed it a lot.

On the recommendation of somebody here (can't remember who), I checked out "Last Night," that Canadian apocalypse film, on Netflix instant tonight.

Fantastic. I know there was some consternation over WHY the world was ending, and how it wasn't addressed. Seemed inconsequential to me. The whole point was the character study of all of the different people and how they reacted to things. Really made me think. And the ending was nails. Really well done film.

Diary of the Dead - Load of horse crap. Terrible acting. Terrible writing. Yet...Romeo does know how to produce a scary atmosphere.

is this the one where one guy is having as many sex partners with different people as he can? It's what I remember most but it was a damn good movie

Big Lebowski two nights ago. Good lord what a funny movie.

Last night, Due Date. It's Planes, Trains and Autombiles meets The Hangover. I guess it had some redeeming quality because I didn't just turn it off, but I still feel like it's two hours of my life I won't get back.

Saw Shrek 4 finally. Wow, I'm in a streak of watching barely tolerable movies. Glad to know they are done with the franchise...although now I see Puss in Boots will have his own? Ugh.
