Im sad to admit that I saw 'No Strings Attached.' I'm not sad to admit it was terrible.
We just watched "Battle: Los Angeles,' which was almost laughable.

The King's Speech. I was kinda sorry we missed this at the theater, but it played very well on the home big screen. I thought it was thoroughly well done.

The King's Speech was a great movie. Good characters and you understood what it was about - I still have a hard time believing they struggled to get the thing financed. Hell - I would have put up $100 figuring it was a safe bet to get my money back.
I'm surprised how people seem to be piling on the Larry Crowne is a flop bandwagon. I don't know who would have thought it would be a big earner - especially during the summer - given its lack of special effects and older skewing appeal.

Especially when attached to smug, pedantic Red Sox fans.

I watched "I Am Number Four" last night and enjoyed it. Ebert thoroughly savaged it. His comparisons to "Twilight" were warranted, but I though IANF was better. Not as mopey and emo as Twilight.

IANF was a little slow to get going, but the action was definitely well done. I think the biggest problem with it is that they built the movie to be a franchise, but didn't put enough into it to get people to want to see more of them, if that makes any sense.

Overall, I thought it was pretty good, but I'm not itching to see Four and Six find the other three aliens. It's similar to how I feel about a lot of comic book movies these days, where sometimes they spend too much time on the origin story. You're left knowing there is a better movie out there to be made now that you've gotten the origin out of the way. Unfortunately for IANF, I don't think viewers cared enough to get a sequel made.

I know with Star Wars, Lucas said he started with A New Hope because he felt that was the film he thought would sell best. If he couldn't sell the first film, he knew the others would never get made.

    REALLY enjoyed it.
It hit so many of the right spots for me.

No Strings Attached - Hey, let's make a movie about sex...but like there's going to be no nudity or really any significant sex scenes at all...Oh and we will sign up Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. It doesn't matter if they don't have an ounce of chemistry. They can squat over the bowl and squeeze this turd out in a few weeks. Oh we'll throw in Kevin Kline too. We know he's not doing anything.

White Noise- the ending is so disgusting.

Have always been a fan of Michael Keaton.

    That's on my queue.

  11. Let me know what you think.

Also watched Big Jim McClain on AMC with John Wayne and James Arness.
MY GOD what a bad movie. It was made in 1952 at the height on the Commie scare and this was a piss-poor propoganda movie with Hawaii as a backdrop.
    Man does it sssssuuuuuck.

Holy shit, was "Horrible Bosses" funny. Started off just a little slow, but once I really started laughing about 20 minutes in, it was all over. Probably the funniest movie I've seen this summer, and that includes Bridesmaids and Hangover 2. I immediately want to watch this movie again.
