Jeremy Schaap's press conference smackdown of Fischer was epic.

"Inglorious Basterds" arrived this morning. It may have to wait a couple of days, however.

I got Up in the Air in the mail yesterday. Will watch this afternoon/evening.

Actually, wait. At least until you have nothing else to do and can really soak it in. Even the comedic violence is wonderfully detailed.

bull is spot on that it dragged a little at the beginning -- an unfortunate side effect to beginning in the middle of a story -- but it didn't feel like everyone was waiting for an epic finale.

I don't know if an extra 20 minutes would have helped. There's only so much wand-waving I can take before checking out mentally.

The epilogue seemed out of place for the movie on its own, but not for the series as a whole. I haven't seen the first Harry Potter in years, but it called back that initial experience, which any good epilogue should do. Hard to end an eight-film series any less heavy-handedly.

Also, in a four-movie weekend: "Black Swan" is just another reason I love Darren Aronofsky. Can't believe the kind of filmography he's been able to put together at just 42 years old.

"Unknown" was a fun little time-killer. Shades of "Frantic," right down to the tiled-rooftop-sneaking-about scene. I really enjoyed Bruno Ganz as the ex-Stanzi private investigator. Funny thing: Liam Neeson is holding a gun in the poster on IMDB, but I can't recall him ever using one in the movie.

I'm sorry, is this thread "the last movie you watched" or is it "the last movie you ordered and have sitting in a pile or a queue somewhere and have nothing useful to say about it?"

After you watch, please don't hate the ending like so many people. I loved it.

If it's one of those "there is no closure" endings, then I will hate it. I HATE those.

No, it's cool. Not a "Black Swan" situation. I hate "no closure" endings, too.

Took the little one to see Zookeeper yesterday. Pretty much as expected. Kinda dumb, but she loved it and it did have a few genuinely funny moments.

This has to be the most impressive thread started by a spambot in history.

We've been on a movie run lately. Saw Larry Crowne this weekend. Didn't hate it but wouldn't recommend it. We saw Harry Potter AND Winnie the Pooh last weekend. Earned enough Regal points for a free small popcorn.
