I also saw a special screening of 30 minutes or less tonight and it disappointed me as well.

I won't lie, there are definite laughs there but Danny McBride's character wasn't funny, at all, and was actually a pretty big loser. Aziz ansari meanwhile, came across as a whiny bitch the entire movie and they rushed everything related the Jesse Eisenberg's character as well.

Big swing and a miss here for me. Though, I will say that Michael Pena stole the show for me. That dude was HILARIOUS.

Watching the end of "Kids are Alright." I do like this film. I think even more so the second time around. But man, Ruffalo gets completely written out in the end. He wasn't THAT bad a guy. And those kids are pretty dang good actors.

    Saw two this week:
    1) Source Code: Much better than I thought it would be. The ads did nothing for me, but got talked into it. Glad I was. One of the better movies I've watched this year. Cool concept. Actually a fairly original idea, esp. for the rehashed drivel that Hollywood pumps out these days.

    2) Captain America: It was OK. About what I thought it was going to be. Pretty decent for a comic book movie, but I don't think quite to the level of Iron Man.

I'd like what the Hall Pass suits must have gotten from Applebee's for that laughable, extended bit or product placement. Goodgawdalmighty . . .

Saw the trailer last weekend and was intrigued. You're almost to the point of having me talked out of it, except when it comes out on video I can get it for a dollar. Not a required big-screen movie anyway.

I saw Bad Teacher. Not as bad as I thought it would be and I was surprised how good Diaz was and how mediocre Timberlake was. Jason Segel was very good in it as well.

Definite case of the trailer being much funnier than the movie itself. If you're the type of person who can shut his brain off and just sit back and chuckle at the one-liners, go for it. If not, you might be like me and get distracted by some of the gaping plot holes.

There are three in particular that really made took me out of the spirit of the movie. Maybe I'm just a jaded movie watcher though. Don't know.

"Inception" is queued up for tonight, one of our last remaining Saturday nights before football season swamps us.
