Last movie you watched......

"The Ghost Writer" was very good. Sort of taken aback by the ending, though.

 

Not trying to start an argument, but what did you like about it? I thought it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

 

I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes...

Very well done. I was very impressed.

 

Watched 'Dead Silence,' (2009) a film by James Wan and written by Leigh Wannell -- the duo who created 'Insidious.' Hoky, silly and far from believable. Kind of a fun ending, but not much there. They really improved between films.

'The Apartment' (1960) with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine. There's a reason why this is a classic. Expertly paced, wonderfully acted, funny, smart. Those two are going to be stars

 

Anyone else that saw this movie bothered that the 17-year-old girl gave the 13-year-old naked pictures and they used it as a nonchalant joke. I mean, when are "kiddie porn" jokes appropriate for a PG-13 movie?

 

I followed up last night by watching the unaired pilot for the "Black Dynamite" animated series that's supposed to be on Adult Swim. Remarkably, it may have been more vulgar than the movie. Loved it, of course.

 

Fuck me. I need to watch that.

"Life As We Know It" is currently airing on HBO.

I think this is the movie where Katherine Heigl plays a driven career woman who never had time for a relationship.

 

Awesome.

Jenna Fischer is hot.

 

Just finished "The Usual Suspects". What a brilliant movie.
