I loved it. Of course, that's about 90 percent because the soundtrack kicked ass and 10 percent because of Ben Affleck.

HC & I watched Jane Eyre --the most recent one with Mia Wasikowska. Man, is she a great actor but no matter how many times they do this movie, none of them will ever match the book.

On Sunday we went to see Planet of the Apes. Thoroughly enjoyable popcorn movie.

Well, you are talking about, perhaps, the most boring piece of literature ever assembled so, yes, it's hard to measure up to that.

</14-year old me, still angry about being forced to read this in high school>

Been on a classic film kick of late, and finally watched "The Philadelphia Story" last night. Katharine Hepburn was the shit in her day (and Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant weren't bad, either).

Watched "A New Hope" and "Empire Strikes Back" with the little one yesterday. We woke up this morning and said, "I wanna watch No. 6, the one with the Ewoks and the 'It's a Trap!' guy"

My 4-year-old already knows his Internet memes.

Try reading it as an adult. Most fourteen year olds have NO cluewhat they're reading when they tackle Jane Eyre--or most fiction for that matter.

I had an epiphany late in college about how wonderful English Lit. was. Unfortunately too late to change majors. Still read all of the classics, Bronte, Hardy, Thackery. Realized how timeless the stories were. Yeah, movies never match the books.

I would "like" this if I could.

    Conan O'Brien Can't Stop.

If you're a fan of the man or of his show, a must see. Quality behind-the-scenes stuff from his tour after being receiving the buyout from NBC.

If I remember correctly, DareDevil is one of the closest adaptations from comic to the big screen. Tho, in this case, it doesn't always result in a good showing at the box office. Been a while since I saw it.

I think it suffered some from blowback over the Bennifer boomlet. For my part, I thought it touched all the bases I would have expected after reading DD since I was a kid.
