Did you get a chance to see this in theaters? I was jumping all over the place. I'm not one to get easily scared during movies, but this one kicked my ass.

It had some potential, but you're right, the ending sort of fell off.

Cedar Rapids. Just my kind of movie -- dark, subtle humor, a sex scene, John C. Reilly. It was simple but I enjoyed it.

    "127 Hours."

James Franco was incredible. The movie works because he's able to sell it so well. And those three or four minutes of the climax ... holy shit. So hard to watch.

The movie felt like "Into the Wild" with a happy ending, with a dash of "Castaway" and "Blair Witch Project" thrown in. Boyle tries to make it more than "Guy stuck in a canyon" by interspersing some flashbacks/hallucinations/dream sequences, but I felt like I needed some more context for some of them. It was like, "Uh, which woman is that?" I'm sure the book fleshes out Ralston's background quite a bit more.

As long as it wasn't a sex scene involving John C. Reilly ...

500 Days of Summer. Decent little relationship movie. Probably not a good one to see with a date, because you'll come out of it questioning if that's the right person for you. I say that from experience...

    "Rabbit Hole."

    Powerful.

I knew it was going to be tough to watch, and I was right. But I'm glad I did. Not to spoil, but Aaron Eckhart has a scene late in the movie where I wonder if he should have been the one nominated for an Academy Award instead of Kidman, although she has a heavier load to carry the entire movie.

Question for those who have seen it ...

So was he going to leave her to be with Sandra Oh? Or have an affair with Sandra Oh? What was the significance of him calling her as "Howie from group," then standing at her house, saying, "Sorry," and turning around?

I saw this movie so long ago, I can't even remember. But I did think they both were terrific in it.

Bah. It was too long, and I wouldn't watch it again, but we've seen much worse. Much. Worse.

A couple days ago, "Shutter Island." Meh.

Tonight, "Recount." I figured out the ending pretty easily.

I watched Pineapple Express last nighy. I actually enjoyed it a lot. Needed something light headed to watch and that fit the bill. Seth Rogen preformance is good in this movie, but the star was James Franco in this one. He was a hoot!!!

This is one movie I would see over and over again. Love the chemistry between Rogen and Franco. That was an awesome bromance. Highly recommend this if you want to see something none serious.
