I can see him evolving into kind of a poor man's Paul Giamatti, but nothing more than that.

Saw the new Sherlock Holmes and rather liked it. I find the repartee between Law and Downey Jr. amusing. The scenery is spectacular as well.

This comment reminds me of my feelings about "Our Idiot Brother." It wasn't as laugh-out-loud funny as I expected, nor as funny as it could have been, and it wasn't particularly moving, yet, when it was over I had to say I enjoyed it. I can't really put my finger on why. It might just be that Paul Rudd played such a sweet character that it was hard to hate him (which was exactly the point of the movie) and, therefore, I couldn't hate the movie.

Just watched Frost Nixon on Netflix. Boy was that well done. Makes me wish I sent to see the play.

James Reston must not have been happy with how he was portrayed.

Saw "Beginners" this weekend. Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer; about a guy wrestling with his 75 yr old father dying of cancer after he comes out of the closet at 75. Tough emotionally, well done. Thumbs up.

Oh yeah, there's this little part played by a Melanie Laurent, slightly good looking French woman, who's the love interest. Wow!!

In Time - Interesting concept gets quickly swallowed up by weak writing and general stupidity. You're constantly like "Wait, I thought he had x amount of hours left and now he has what? Where did that come from? Wait...there were tolls for going between the zones and he had two hours left. How did he pay the tolls which were measured in months or years?" Could have really used a sex scene to establish some chemistry between Timberlake and Seyfried too.

I struggled with "Our Idiot Brother" as well.

Really good cast, and I'm a big Rudd fan, but it wasn't as funny as I wanted it to be.

The new Dark Knight Rises trailer was released today: http://mashable.com/2011/12/19/dark-knight-rises-trailer-2/. No surprise that it looks pretty badass.
