Can we all agree it was better than The Green Lantern?

Haven't seen the movie but just read the book and found it very moving. Don't know how they would capture the flavour of this book on film, though.

The trailer cleverly masks that the kid's quest is to find people with a certain surname, in New York City, alone, not using public transportation. Does seem kind of silly. I think United 93 is the only 9/11 movie that has won mostly praise.

Anyhoo, saw We Bought a Zoo yesterday. Much less lighthearded than the trailer would have you believe, and probably a half-hour too long; they could have done without 2-3 of the 20-25 attempts to pull at the heartstrings. But still better than the sum of its parts; the presence of the capuchian monkey probably helped me enjoy it.

Saw the trailer for The Three Stooges. Tho the film will suck out loud, the makeup people did a good job, especially on Moe.

Did a Gosling doubledip (which wasn't as much fun as that would sound). Ides of March and Crazy, Stupid, Love. I agree with all before who have said the last 10 minutes of CSL was garbage. Loved 99 percent of the rest of it, hated the neat ending.

IOM I enjoyed, more so and less so than I thought. I'm not sure even I can explain how that works, but there it is.

You knew, given this is from the guy who ground out "The Hours" and "Billy Elliot", that it was going to be hand-wringing, self-absorbed myopic twaddle. Clearly, it didn't disappoint.

Casting of Hanks and Bullock, fine actors both, indicates Maudlin High Seriousness with a vengeance. Don't these stars remember they cut their teeth on comedy?

I hated the Denzel version of "The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3." Just watched the original last night for the gazillionth time, and I want to revise my assessment of the remake version. Is there a stronger word than "hate"?

I remember Bullock fro Speed, and Hanks didn't win all those Oscars dressing up like a woman.

But there is no way I would go see this if it was Daniel Day Lewis and Kate Winslet in the lead roles.

Ides of March and Cowboys and Aliens on the dockett for tonight. Can't wait for Ides. Cowboys should pass the time better than SNL.

    Nice, and true.

I thought Thor was decent. Among the Avengers movies, it's not even close to Iron Man or even The Incredible Hulk, but comparable with Captain America and better than Iron Man II.

I thought both Hulk movies sucked balls.

And I liked Iron Man II right up until the final "battle".
