Keira Knightley has been approximately 25 years old for as long as anyone in the history of mankind.

'Moonstruck' might be the only good romantic comedy.

Yeah. A romantic comedy without Nicolas Cage ain't worth doing.

Nick Cage shouting 'I lost my hand!'
Emoting and effusing all over the screen.
    It's brilliant.

'I ain't no freakin' monument to justice! I lost my hand! I lost my bride! Johnny has his hand! Johnny has his bride! You want me to take my heartache, put it away and forget?'

I say the same thing, except I say it about about Groundhog Day.

That's awesome. Her breasts remain twelve, however.

Finally got around to seeing 'The Dark Knight Rises' last night. Not sure where to put it in the realm of Nolan's trilogy.

Despite the central nature of the romantic plot between the Murray and McDowell characters, I think of 'Groundhog Day' as just a comedy.

My problem with romcoms is kind of the same problem I have with children's movies: I pretty much know the entire time that there is going to be a happy ending, and pretty much precisely what the happy ending will be. Thus, there is almost no dramatic tension for two hours. So what ensues is just tedium while I watch to see how we get from point A to the inevitable point B. Because I kind of know the ending, it all feels interminably contrived, if not executed very, very well.

    I agree.

    1. Attractive couple meets, but can't stand each other at first.

    2. Against all odds, they fall in love.

    3. There's a HUGE misunderstanding and they break up.

    4. Against all odds, they get back together.

    5. Roll credits.

Don't forget the montage set to music between 3 and 4 of both getting on with their miserable lives.
