Magic Mike is a baseball movie?

I watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas last night. Still find it entertaining.

The Total Recall remake which was pretty good, in many ways superior to the original.

The story was stronger and the female leads were certainly better. The original doesn't really hold up with its subpar FX and lousy dialogue.

    "That's My Boy."

Pretty hilarious, even if unevenly so. I usually hate toilet humor, but Sandler has a wink-wink way of pulling it off, for me. Seemed like a romantic comedy parody, more than anything. The relationship between the two men had all the traditional beats of a romantic comedy. The only thing we didn't get was the montage set to music.

Also: One of my favorite sight gag/homage cameos of all time.

Sure is -- there are swinging bats and bouncing balls galore.

I think if you cut about an hour out of 'Dark Knight Rises' you might have had an OK movie that was simply the weakest of the three.
Which wouldn't be bad because the first two were quite good.

But 'Dark Knight Rises' was not just the weakest of the three. It was not a good movie.

Linking this review of "This is 40" for no other reason than to allow you to have a giggle about the reviewer's name, just as any 14 year old boy would.

Way to commit on the headline, too — "arguably one of?"

Along with The Avengers, an essential part of the Summer of Whedon.

It's a movie about horror movies, but it doesn't get lost up its own ass.

I'm indifferent to horror movies in general, but that was fun.
