Not a movie, but I finally got season 5 of Mad Men, which prompted me to IMDB Jared Harris, who played Lane Pryce.

He was US Grant in "Lincoln." Holy cow, I didn't catch that one.

He's got "one of those faces." Here's an interview I produced last month with him:

Thanks for posting the interview. I "lernt somethin' " - he's the son of Richard Harris. Did not know that. Always cool to see someone follow in their parent's big footsteps and have success on their own.

The Michael Pare-Diane Lane-Willem Dafoe classic, Streets of Fire.

Hadn't seen it in a couple of decades. I dig it even more now. It's got a strange kind of style to it. Soundtrack is on Spotify.

    Yup.

Moonraker - I've been on a Bond kick recently. Holy cheeziness Batman, the movie was awful. I have two words to describe it: pew pew!

Took the youngest Novelista to see Pitch Perfect. Not long on plot, but it had enough humor and decent music to keep me entertained. Not for everyone here, but it was at the dollar theatre, so it was cheap. Daughter enjoyed it.

Thanks for the advice. The Sessions was excellent.

Django is a very long movie. Many people die but only one did so in a way that I couldn't watch.

Django Unchained - enjoyed it A LOT but dang is it long. Almost three hours. Could have been a bit closer to two and not lost much. As Amy noted, VERY VERY violent and I agree on the one person (knowing her and knowing me, we're thinking of the same one).

Was bullshitting with the manager afterward and he said too many movies are too long. He can go for free. "But I don't want to go to a three-hour movie after my shift ends."

I told him to make an exception for this one. But, yeah, it is LONG

Wanted to see Guilt Trip afterward, just for yuks. I like Rogen. Times would have worked out perfectly if Django had been 2:20 like FanDango said. It was not.

Saw "Jack Reacher" today (I have read the book the movie was based on). Despite the panning he's received elsewhere on this site, Cruise was OK by me and I was entertained.

I did not check the credits but Frenchy Fuqua would have been a perfect cameo for the black guy at the bus stop who gives TC a Pirates hat.

The reviews have me worried, but I really want to see Les Miz. I loved the play back in the day. If anyone has seen it, give me some idea, please and thank you.
