HC wins. She knew it off the top of her head, I'm guessing. I googled "Jeff Bridges Sam Elliott" and saw "The Contender" pop up. Then I remembered...

Actually, I found it exactly the same way! However, I believe I get the edge for answering publicly. :D

    Zero Dark Thirty
It was an over-hyped police procedural. I could have had a V-8.

Are you saying it's overhyped because it follows the procedural format and you were expecting something different or groundbreaking?
Or are you saying that because you don't think it is an especially good police procedural?

A little late to the party, but I watched The Bank Job. I liked it a lot. Good heist story. And though it apparently embellishes a true story with a bunch of bullshit, it's a rare case where the bullshit they created was compelling and entertaining and not too terribly over the top.

I've got Dead Heat On A Merry-Go-Round on the DVR. Will watch it at some point.

Saw ZDT tonight. Frankly, I thought the point was to tell how they arrived at the place where they felt they could move on the intel. Kind of the definition of a procedural. If you went in expecting something else, that's on you.

It was fine for what it was, a generic procedural with characters I didn't care for because they're not particularly interesting. Same thng you can see on CBS most nights. Just not my thing. I saw it two days ago, and I can't remember the main character's name. It's not going to stick with me at all.

    Fair enough.
I'd say if you look at it as a police procedural (a valid assessment) then it's a very good one.

And the character's name was Linda.

Hadn't heard of the movie Catfish until this whole Te'o thing broke, so had to check it out. Found it on Netflix. Pretty damn good. I know there is some controversery over whether it really happened or not, but I quite enjoyed, and although I was well aware of the premise heading in, I was surprised to see how far it went in disguising a false relationship.
