I enjoyed it too, but the more I think about it, it seems like they had the camera running at some MIGHTY convenient times.

'Catfish' was interesting, but it was definitely contrived.
I just don't buy a person of average intelligence falling into something like that.

I've seen two episodes of the show, and I can believe the people on the show got duped because they're dumb as stumps.

    Shame.

First a little preface: Fassbender is high on the list of actors I would pay to watch no matter what. Like Waltz, what Fassbender did in Basterds is something that stays with a movie fan for life. He was solid in Fish Tank too. At different points in this movie he reminded me of a combination of Vincent Gallo and Timothy Hutton and Willem Dafoe.

That all said, his performance did not reel me in. You could say this is nouveau porn noir but it's not even that. It's just a story about fucked-up siblings, one who fucks anything that moves, the other who keeps fucking herself.

There were a couple of decent moments, but I'm very disappointed with the movie, especially after reading how everyone -- many here -- raved about it.

Saw Silver Linings Playbook this morning. Very good. That and Argo may be my favorite movies of the year.

    Jennifer Lawrence. Whoa.

Also enjoyed seeing Chris Tucker on the screen. Seems like it's been a long time.

    Count me as a raver.
I thought the movie was excellent.

Should we watch Looper or Lawless?

Krull! It is again on the Bad Movie Channel.

Really, I just have it on because Spice World is next.

Back to Zero Dark Thirty ... it's quite a trick to keep a moviegoer's attention when they know what the outcome is. For me, this movie did it.

The outcome of Argo was known too -- albeit probably not as widely known -- but it kept my attention.

    Great flick.
