Saw A Good Day to Die Hard...

    Not good. Not terrible.

    Cooper was good in Limitless.

I could do a good job, too, if 95 percent of my lines in a movie were reading off a script for voice overs.

    That movie was dreck.

Not commenting on the movie but please don't write 'voice overs' off as easy. It's actually pretty hard to act with just the voice and one of the more difficult niches to move into for an actor.

There is a cult out there that thinks Blow Up is one of the greatest movies in history. I guess I just don't get it. One thing I do know, however, is that the poster on the wall of his loft, the Lawrence of Arabia poster, is awesome. I would love to have one like it.

It's not going to cover its $90 million budget. Hard to believe a Die Hard flick is going to bomb so hard.

    Watch the movie.

    "That morning, I ate breakfast."

Then we get to watch Cooper eat breakfast.

"Later that afternoon, I put my watchon."

    Cooper puts his watch on.

Seriously, it is two hours of exactly that. Occasionally, I think Robert DeNiro shows up.

Come on, that slurp of blood to prevent him from being killed was a strong little scene.

Honestly? It was the kind of contrived action bullshit that the movie - which did have a smart concept and, voice-overs aside, nice pace - should have been above.

I hate voiceovers, but if you ever get the chance to see Days of Heaven, the voiceover is actually amazing. It was added post-production because the movie was disjointed, and really made the film. One of Richard Gere's early movies and Linda Manz was the young girl in the film that did the voiceover work.

I liked it. The last thing I expected was for him to survive by slurping the blood off the floor. I was pretty engrossed up to that point so I bought what they were selling.

And, in fairness, the voice over in "Beasts of the Southern Wild" was well-executed, too.
