Caught the 1-1 portion of Predator on TV over the weekend. Still pretty entertaining, and the sfx hold up pretty well.

Watched part of Catwoman, mainly from a desire to see Halle Berry in that suit, and while that part didn't disappoint, the overall movie was pretty lousy.

Watch Dark Knight Rises on demand yesterday. Pretty thorough thrill ride.

I watched Project X this weekend and thought it was average at best. Other than Castro, the movie was generally weak.

Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World - Started off clever and then just sucked. No chemistry between the leads.

Saw Goon in the hotel room this weekend.

Not a classic, over-the-top in many cases, but not a bad movie to kill some hotel time with.

The Machinist. Christ, does Bale make any movies that aren't dark as hell? Losing that much weight for this movie could not have been good for his long-term health.

    Red Dawn remake.

They tried way too hard to make it a love story, which the original was anything but. It was OK but it felt way too forced.

i thought red dawn, the remake, was a little less than ok.

    Drive Angry
Nic Cage, Amber Heard, William Fincher, Tom Atkins playing a screaming sheriff, needless sex and violence, Satanic cultists ... what's not to love? It'll be a cult favorite one day.

Williams seemed to be going for an affected, stylized thing that didn't work because nobody else in the movie was doing it. I really liker her, but she wasn't good here.

I also really like Rachel Weisz, who I thought was the best part of the movie. Too bad she didn't get enough screen time to really play with the role. She should have had more to do.

Kunis just wasn't up to this.

I' saw that a while back HBO or Showtime (I forget which). I wouldn't have wanted to pay for it in the theater, but it kept my attention.
