You can run into the same thing with "The Rookie" -- the Jimmy Morris baseball story starring Dennis Quaid and the Clint Eastwood/Charlie Sheen movie from 1990 about a veteran cop being paired up with a rookie.

Because it's been on HBO the last few weeks I've caught Crazy, Stupid, Love a number of times, including last night.

Really enjoyed the dynamic between Steve Carrell and Ryan Gosling.

Between this movie and Dan in Real Life (Thanks, Secret Santa a few years ago!) I really like Carrell as a romantic lead. Very believable as an everyman.

Also got hooked on the song by the name of Blood by The Middle East at the end of Crazy, Stupid, Love.

Oblivion is pretty good. Sort of like Prometheus that it looks really beautiful. I really want that pool but it has some plot holes.

And some parts, once you think about it for about five seconds, are hilarious. Hilariously bad. Still a pretty good show for a matinee.

Saw it on Netflix while drunk once. Was it as fucked up as I remember or was it the booze? Hard to say.

Just finished Zero Dark Thirty. Thought it kicked Argo's ass, and I liked Argo.

I just want to know if the real life "Mia" actually said, "I'm the motherfucker who found him" in response to the "Who are you?" question posed by the James Gandolfini character. That was awesome.

Carell is very good in almost everything.

Have you seen Dinner For Schmucks? He was wonderful.

Here's a sweet and sour 20-minute movie about books and life as we've become.

I've seen all the Scary Movies. Scary Movie 5 was easily the worst of the bunch. By far. Plot sucked, wasn't funny, waste of money.

Thought Oblivion was boring and predictable. Save your money, wait for RedBox or HBO
