You'd think if you were going through the trouble of casting George Clooney and Sandra Bullock...you'd at least show them in the trailer.

Baz with the Gatsby backstory -- a good read, IMO (although only in Hollywood can you con your bosses into paying for you and your wife to take a cruise from England just to see the Statue of Liberty like F Scott and Zelda did!).

How can anyone not like anything DiCaprio has done? Just based on Blood Diamond, Departed, Gangs of New York, The Aviator and Shutter Island, I'll see anything he does.

    He's an actual actor.

Forgot Gilbert Grape, although he does break the rule and go full-retard (sorry) in that role.

Yeah he was great in that. Basketball Diaries also.

  6. I'm a big fan of Leo but I haven't loved everything he's done. Traditionally, he's been very good but not all of his movies have been very good.

That's how I feel about Robert Downey, Jr., even if the movie sucks, he's usually very good.

I saw it in front of Gatsby. I recognized them just from that small bit.

Gravity looks awesome. Such a simple concept but, if done right, it can be creepy as hell.

There is a sequence in Stanislaw Lem's fine novel "Return from the Stars" in which astronauts are tested by being left alone in space for a prolonged period. A very frightening notion.

    DiCaprio movies I've liked:
    'Django Unchained'
    'Inception'
    'The Departed'
    'The Aviator'
    'Catch Me if You Can'
    'The Basketball Diaries'
    'What's Eating Gilbert Grape'

    DiCaprio movies I didn't like:
    'J. Edgar'
    'Shutter Island'
    'Revolutionary Road'
    'Blood Diamond'
    'Gangs of New York'
    'The Beach'
'The Man in the Iron Mask'
    'Titanic'
    'Romeo + Juliet'
    'The Quick and the Dead'

  12. I haven't seen Titanic, Romeo and Juliet or The Man in the Iron Mask. I enjoyed Gangs of New York but otherwise, I pretty much agree with your list. Revolutionary Road is one of the biggest wastes of my time in life. I hated that movie.
