How anyone can not love "The Quick and the Dead" is a mystery.

Great little campy flick. In the same way "Road House" is.

Took the kids to see Oz, the Great and Powerful... Expectations were relatively low, but I thought it was pretty good...

I think Dicaprio's finest performance was in The Aviator. FWIW.

    Better than Gilbert Grape?

Well, in that Grape was a child actor, IMO, versus Howard Hughes as an adult -- yes. But of course he was great in Grape.

As great as Christoph Waltz was in "Django Unchained," I thought it was DiCaprio who deserved the Oscar.

Just got done watching The Perks of Being a Wallflower. My god, what an amazing film.
This was one of those rare movies that just connected with me and I wish this movie were around when I was in high school.
This is, by far, the best movie I've seen since Crazy, Stupid, Love and one of the only movies I could ever personally give a 10/10. I might have to watch this another couple of times.
Just a fantastic flick that does an incredible job of showing how important friendship is and how finding the right people to call your friends can really change your life and your perspective on the world around you.
I really connected with Charlie's isolation early on because that was me when I entered high school and, apart from the messed up things in his past that I thankfully never experienced, I've never seen a character more like myself ... or, at least who I was at that stage of my life.
Great flick. If you haven't seen it, see it.
It's the best film I've seen from 2012 by far.

Just got home from the new Star Trek. Very entertaining. Great action sequences. Some nice twists. Slightly too forced on the bromances. The actors play well off each other, but the super chemistry isn't there. Some great homages to earlier Star Trek films. It gets an A.

Utter horse shit. People will turn on you at the drop of a hat if the good times turn tough. I hate movies that make it seem like your friends will stick by you. It's just not true.

Has been for me. Maybe I'm just lucky.
