    The Dark Knight
A well-made crime drama that just happens to have a guy in a bat suit. One of my absolute favorite movies.

I finally got around to watching Silver Linings Playbook onthe weekend. My wife and I both enjoyed it, and were into it despite having to pause a couple times for children.

I thought Bradley Coper was very strong in the role. The one thing that hit home for me in the movie was the relationship between Deniro (who was also very good) and Cooper. I said to my wife that I hope when my son is 30 years old he would still feel that he could/would want to give his dad a kiss. The dynamic between them really worked for me.

Richard Roeper just told me it's his favorite movie of the year.

I'm sick of James Franco. Don't know why, I just really don't like him.

Hard to find a weaker movie than "Now You See Me", a waste of 12 bucks. Plus, once I got in there, I remembered I hate magic tricks.

Two nights before, I watched City Street on TMC, a 1931 mob movie. Few people now would want to watch it, but I loved it. A young Gary Cooper.

said everyone. However, to be fair, I think "This Is The End" has a pretty big ensemble cast. Like Michael Cera is supposed to be really good in it - again, a guy that most can be hot or cold on, I realize - as are Emma Watson and Seth Rogen. It sounds like an oddly different kind of movie, so I'm probably going to try to catch it in theaters if I can.

My preview for This is the End was sold out before I got my ticket so I ended up seeing Fast 6 for free instead. Glad I didn't have to pay for it. While it was a fun movie to watch, I didn't like it nearly as much as the previous installment and a ton of the action scenes were beyond unrealistic.
Still, not a bad way to spend two hours. The special effects alone made it worth the time spent watching it, even if they weren't even in the same world as real life possibilities.

"The Godfather" usually kicks in about the third time you see it, when you finally get a handle on most of the secondary and subliminal subplots.

First and second time through you soak in the look and sound of the movie and the "big picture" plotlines. Then you start picking up on the subtexts, implicit themes, etc etc.

11 yr old was clamoring to see The Internship so took him, his buddy and his 14 yr old brother. Some decent stuff but man, a strip club with lap dances and post-ejaculation scenes in PG13? Hard to stomach for the young uns.
