Went to the drive-in Monday night for a double feature. Man of Steel and Iron Man 3. Didn't get home until 2:30 a.m.

Definitely like Iron Man 3 more. I think there were just so many expectations behind Man of Steel with it being Snyder/Nolan that it couldn't live up to the hype. That being said, I definitely enjoyed it. Anyone catch the Easter eggs in the final fight sequence?

Finally saw "The Great Gatsby" last night and really enjoyed it, as did JR. Like the man said, they really captured the spirit of the thing.

Goon - While completely absurd, I thought this had elements of greatness. This is probably Scott's best acting performance and there are good jokes. In the end, though, it comes off a bit like a less good version of Observe and Report.

This movie is going to rake in the dough. It may not be a good movie, but it's going to be a hit.

    2 hours forty minutes. Ugh.

Yikes. I'm someone who has the attention span to enjoy a long movie, but so many these days are just long because the director has too much creative control and the editor not enough.

By the time I put my son to bed at night, I don't have nearly enough time to finish watching a 2:30 movie. And I hate watching movies over two viewings.

I was looking forward to it, but no way am I seeing another movie that long in the theater. My back hurt so bad after ZDT I could hardly stand up.

So, into the Netflix queue it goes.

Now, I think the only movie I want to see is Monsters University.

I had NEVER SEEN "On The Beach" in its entirety (actually, more than a couple minutes of it) until 6-7 years ago. Now, it's really one of my favorites.

One of the first and even today one of the best of the "nuclear armageddon" movies.
