The first two episodes have aired on PBS and the third airs on Sunday if you're looking for it on American TV.

Finished cleaning off my DVR. The last thing on it was "Magic Mike."

I can understand the hubbub it got for all the skin, but it also got good reviews as a movie. I thought it was just OK.

Have watched the following in the last few weeks with HC:

    Wolf of Wall Street
    Prisoners
    American Hustle

"Hustle" is the best of the lot. Can you believe Jennifer Lawrence is only 23 years old?

There is not one bad actor: Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Bradley Cooper are all outstanding. Everyone nails their role. . And Robert De Niro has a small but significant scene that literally scares the everloving shit out of you---without saying a word.

Worth at least a second watch for the details

    "American Hustle"

The only people in the theater who weren't buzzing about it were a bunch of old farts complaining about how raunchy it was. I wonder if they even tried to watch a trailer, read a review, look at the rating? The Disney movie is down the hall, folks.

The original Get Carter and Pulp double-bill on TCM? Fuck yeah.

Disagree on Renner, I didn't think he was good.
    Liked the movie overall, though.

On a 2014 raunchy scale it was about a 3. Pretty mild stuff.

  10. Agree with you on Renner. And I know it's unpopular but I don't see the hype for Lawrence for this one. She's great but I didn't think she was all that good in this one.

And if the old people at your theatre thought Hustle was raunchy, they better stay away from Wolf.

My only problem with Lawrence was her accent dropping in and out. I watched Hustle and Wolf on back-to-back nights and Margot Robbie nailed her accent so well in Wolf that it made Lawrence's struggles stand out. I liked her, but that sort of thing bothers me.

Considering the supporting actress angle, I thought Julia Roberts was a lot better than Lawrence, especially considering the much, much smaller part Lawrence had.
