I joked that American Hustle was the "longest ice fishing story ever." Haha It wasn't meant to necessarily fit the story line, but was supposed to be a lesson to Cooper's character.

Finally watched Prisoners this evening. Good movie with strong performances from the cast. I was a little disappointed, though, that I figured out "the bad guy" within the first 15 minutes of a two-and-a-half-hour-long movie.

Monuments Men. Enjoyable but felt like it could have been more.

Also a little hokey but wrapped in a flag. American as apple pie with a hunk of cheese.

Wait until the dollar theater or Redbox.

    It is overly sentimental.
    I was disappointed.
I realize this was a time of American decency- but don't hit me over the head with it.

I hadn't heard of this one until I saw the sign at the theater. What is it about? It looks like it has a strong cast.

    "Escape Plan"
    Stallone and Schwarzenegger. It ruled.

Rescue of Nazi-plundered art during the late stages of WWII by a tasked team of art experts.
It's a bag of mixed parts.
A war film without an action piece.
    A heist film without planning.
    An art film without wonder.
    A failed opportunity.

It was originally scheduled for release in December, then was pushed back to February (AKA, Dumpuary). Always a bad sign ...

One February movie I can remember killing it at the box office was Silence of the Lambs.
It actually became a date movie that winter, unwittingly.

I think the Lego Movie is doing OK.

The Lego Movie is a burst of conspicuous brilliance.
I would expect it to make a lot of money.
Monuments Men might have one more good week.
It's just getting killed in reviews.
