I'd definitely like to. I've heard nothing but good things.

Funny thing is I really wanted to see The Winter Soldier before the episode of Agents of SHIELD, then I completely forgot to watch Agents of SHIELD. The show is just weak. I should be an easy target audience for them and they just can't hook me.

  4. Watched the final 2/3 of WMCJ yesterday. I loved it when it came out (I was in HS) and giving it a real look yesterday confirmed a few things. First, Woody Harrelson can act with anybody. Second, Ron Shelton can put a soundtrack together. Third, it kinda pisses me off the Wesley Snipes isn't a movie star anymore.

Same for me. I watched the first five or six episodes then missed one, forgot to se the DVR, etc. But, I'm slowly caught up and have a good idea what's going on. I hear ya, people like us, should be hook line and sinker for us comic fans.

Goodfellas, again. What a collection of sharp performances.

Watched American Beauty again last night. Was discussing with a friend that they really missed an opportunity for numerous sequels by killing Lester Burnham at the end because I could watch hours and hours of Lester.

    Watched American Hustle...

Lawrence is amazing. Adams is amazing.

Cooper, Bale and Renner were decent.

The camera work was very nice. The songs were good, but I think we are at a point where filmmakers are picking songs from the 70s that have not been used yet.

The story pretty much bored me to tears.

Without Lawrence and Adams this is a very average movie. It took me two nights to watch it because I feel asleep on it the first night.

Goodfellas was mentioned on this thread and American Hustle is AAA compared to the big league performance of Goodfellas.

    Oh, absolutely.

Goodfellas can legitimately stand alongside The Godfather Parts I and II, which are basically film religion. That Scorsese and his people made that 20 years into his career is pretty amazing. Rarely, 20 years into your career, do you reinvent a genre.

    Yeah, Goodfellas is an all-timer.

American Hustle, while a good movie, is not even close to being on that level. To be fair, almost nothing is...

That movie is pretty close to being great. In David Gordon Green's hands, I suspect it might have been. His upcoming "Joe" works off a similar riff. Green and the director of Mud are roughly the same age, and both Southerners. Same kid in both movies, too.

    Mud was awesome.

Someone loaned me Ender's Game and it's absolutely horrid so far.
