    The Lone Ranger

Dreck. Funny in spots, but most of the humor is absurd and tongue-in-cheek about the absurdity of the characters, so it kind of works. The story is too diajointed. Does every film have to include flashbacks and non-linear story telling? The action scenes were too bogged down by barely passable CGI and the gun fights were A-Team cartoonish in that no one could hit anything, except for the ambush sequence in which everyone is a damn sniper.

Rush is probably my favorite film of last year.

The presence of Chris Berman is a deal-breaker for me. Won't be seeing it.

Philomena over the weekend on demand. I've always been fascinated by the "get in touch with long-lost relative" genre, and this one was very well done.

I think you're overpraising it with 'OK.'
    It was bad.

I've seen a lot worse, but it was not good.

I was stunned at how bad 42 was and even more stunned at how many baseball writers just heaped praise on it.

The whole thing had a movie of the week sheen to it.

But then again, I think Dallas Buyers Club did too.

I was surprised, too, that it got any favorable response.

Hollywood loves movies about white people rescuing black people. The Blind Side got nominated for Best Picture, for God's sake.

    Man, I love that movie.
I go nuts when Crowe breaks the chair and bursts into the interrogation room. And Basinger is stunning.

Yeah the missus and I did too recently. Basinger is smoldering.

Um, I've worked in the front office of a team (not football) on draft day and none of the women in the office, including me, were wearing khakis, a button down and flats.
